We're in the home stretch....only 5 more weeks to go! It's a good thing because Mommy is convinced her belly is about to burst.
We have another two appointments today with another ultrasound, etc. I'm sure I'll show off as usual. No matter how many ultrasounds they do though, Mommy and Daddy don't get tired of seeing my beautiful little face.
At 34 weeks I have lost most of my lanugo, the funny little fur that has covered me for most of the last several months. I am covered in vernix now, the yucky cream cheese looking gunk that should wear off before and during birth. I have begun to develop my own immune system instead of relying on Mommy for all of my immune needs. That's good news for when I'm outside the womb. This week I average a length of 17 3/4 inches and 5 pounds, or about as heavy as a bag of sugar. Sugar--mmm, one of those things Mommy misses.
