33 Weeks

33 Weeks means my lung development is almost completely. If I were born this week, odds are I would be a pretty healthy little baby with some help from the NICU of course. By the way, Mommy is ready for me to come out, but not THAT ready. :)

I can now detect light, and if you held a flashlight up to Mommy's belly, I would be able to see it, and probably try to get away from it. My pupils can also constrict and dilate at this point.

My bones are all hardening, except of course for the ones in my head. They need to be able to overlap and compress so I can squeeze myself out in 6 more weeks. Can you believe it's almost time?!

I am currently about 4 1/2 pounds, and somewhere around 17 1/2 inches long. Such a big boy!

Mommy and I have two more doctor's appointments this week. The good news is that on Tuesday for the ultrasound appointment, Grandmommie and Granddaddy are going to be in attendance because they are coming up tomorrow for the week! They will have such a good time seeing my pretty little face. I'll be sure to put on a good show.

  1. Baby Ihle,
Boy you sure did put on a good show for us. Opening your eye, your mouth, and just basically letting us know you are healthy and getting ready to make your debut. Grandmommie and I had a good time seeing you and can't wait to see you when you arrive in November.
    Love,
    Granddaddy Y.
