It's Ba-ack!

The verdict is in......the gestational diabetes is back. Oh boy, so much fun. Mommy drank the yucky glucose solution on the way up to the doctor yesterday and she knew it was going to be a bad result when 20 minutes in she thought she was going to fall asleep from the high sugar. When Mommy took the test when she was pregnant with Amelia, her result was 209. They want the one hour test to show up under 140. Mommy's result with me was 236, and we're only 3 months along. With Amelia she was over 6 months along when she had to deal with this. So I guess I'm an early bloomer? :) Either way, Mommy says much as she hates the idea, I'm going to be the last one because she doesn't think her body will hold out for another baby after me. Pregnancy doesn't agree with her. Childbirth was easy for her--pregnancy, not so much. Another funny thing, Amelia left Mommy with a non-functioning thyroid gland. Mommy is hoping I don't leave her with permanent diabetes, or something worse. She felt so awful yesterday after the test and after eating supper, she's pretty sure she can't stand that for the rest of her life. Pray that after I pop out she'll go back to normal like last time and won't have to worry about the diabetes anymore.
